In 2010, Trimlight’s founder, Ryan, wanted to eliminate the hassle of hanging holiday lights in the cold and find a better way. After extensive research, he discovered that lights exposed to the sun’s UV rays have an adverse effect on the lifespan of holiday lights and that directing lights outward is limiting in applications. For lights to last for decades, he found that directing lights down was the best option. After experimenting with several options on building materials, Ryan developed an innovative lighting system that seamlessly blends with the existing architecture of his home. With neighbors curious about his new innovation, Ryan recognized there was a genuine interest and saw the potential to grow a business.Trimlight has now grown with thousands of home installations along the Wasatch front alone, with over 120 official dealers established across the United States and Canada.
